Matcha.

Matcha will be the best drink I ever taste. It is now January 1, 2023, and this drink has definitely made the end of 2022 a lot better.

Going into the start of 2023, finding something you love is a good thing. Now, halfway done with my final year of high school, I have discovered what makes me, well, me. Now I may sound ridiculous to say that Matcha, this fantastic drink that makes my day better, makes me who I am, but it also has made me feel super refreshed. I give all of my thanks to my co-worker Sarah for putting me on this delicious drink.

What Is Matcha?

Matcha is a finely ground powder of green tea leaves, it boost energy and has many health benefits. According to healthline, the article, 7 Proven Ways Matcha Tea Improves Your Health, was written by Rachel Link, a registered dietitian and health writer, lists the following factors that matcha does to improve your health. It is high in antioxidants, may help protect the liver, boosts brain function, may help prevent cancer, may promote heart health, and helps you lose weight. Lastly, matcha is very easy to use.

This drink has many opinions. Some people love it, and some people hate it; others also think it tastes like grass. There are so many ways to make this drink and so many different recipes. See how I make mine below.

Making the drink!

(everything I used is linked down at the bottom)

Step One:

Place your desired amount of matcha in a bowl!

(Measurements vary per person)

Step Two:

Add warm water to help break up the clumps and use either a home whisk or a matcha specific whisk and whisk in a line motion back and forth.

Step Three:

Add in milk if you wish (I use almond milk) and any other syrups or sweeteners (I use Torani Vanilla Syrup).

Step Four:

Whisk again until it is foamy on top!

Step Five:

Add in ice and enjoy:)

I hope everyone had a great year! 2023 is going to be even better. For all of you who support me, thank you:)

More to come in the 2023 season!!!!
